Anchor Winch Solenoid
Anchor Winch Solenoid
$100.00
The Anchor Winch Solenoid is a heavy-duty electromagnetic switching device designed to safely and reliably control the high-current power delivery to the anchor winch motor.
Acting as the critical interface between the vessel’s low-voltage control circuit and the high-amperage motor circuit, the solenoid enables precise, remote operation of the winch while protecting the control switches and wiring from destructive current loads.
Additional Features
High-Current Switching
Handles the large inrush and sustained currents required by the winch motor, allowing small-gauge control wires and low-current switches, foot pedals, or remote controls to operate the system safely.
Directional Control
Typically configured with dual solenoids (or a solenoid pack) to energize the motor in forward (deploy) or reverse (retrieve) directions, and to disengage for free-spooling when needed.
Motor Protection & Isolation
Provides electrical isolation between control and power circuits, reducing the risk of back-feeding and enabling integration with overload protection devices such as the anchor winch breaker.
Automated Operation
Facilitates convenient deck, or helm control making anchor deployment and retrieval faster and less physically demanding for the crew.
Marine Grade Construction
Marine-grade construction with corrosion-resistant housings, heavy-duty contacts, and suppression diodes to minimize voltage spikes.
